Possible causes and solutions

Wrong License INIT String

The invalid INIT string error could be a result of an error during the copy/paste procedure. Copy the INIT string from the email and paste it first into Notepad (or a similar ASCII text editor). Copy the INIT string from Notepad and paste it into the winIDEA dialog.


Wrong BlueBox

The license INIT string has to be programmed in the same BlueBox you requested the INIT string from.


Wrong winIDEA

The license INIT string has to be programmed with the same winIDEA version you requested the INIT string from.
