Linux support for compiler toolsets

16-Jul-2026

TASKING compiler toolsets are officially supported on Linux.

However, a license purchased for Windows cannot be used to activate the product on Linux, and vice versa. Hence, separate licenses are required.

Installing the Compiler on Linux

To install the compiler on Linux:

1. Download the GNU zipped tar file (e.g., <Product-Code><version>.tar.gz) for your product.

2. Open a terminal and extract the installation archive to the desired installation directory (for example, /opt):

tar xzvf <Product-Code><version>.tar.gz -C /opt

3. Configure your license as described in the Licensing section of the product-specific Getting Started guide. For example, see Licensing.
