In contrast to iC5xxx BlueBox, iC7mini only supports on-chip trace. It doesn't support streaming trace, such as LPD SofTrace. However, it is still possible to record LPD SofTrace messages into RH850 on-chip trace RAM.
1. Open Hardware | CPU options | Analyzer | Operation mode and select On-Chip.
Note that this works only on devices where a 32KB trace RAM is available.
2. Enable Manual Hardware Trigger via View | Analyzer | Analyzer Configuration | Options.
3. Press Configure, select the desired core trace source, e.g. SRC_PE1, and tick the following checkboxes:
This will enable unfiltered SofTrace recording, until the recording is stopped or, the trace buffer is full. Make sure that the Execution and Data trigger configuration is empty.
