LDRA Test tools: How do I request a license and what information do I need to provide?

Prerequisites

  • FlexLM Server Utilities email ("LDRA FlexLM License Manager Utilities (Stage 1)")
  • Access to the target license server machine

Procedure

1. Download the FlexLM Server Utilities from the email provided by your sales representative.

2. Extract the utilities to an appropriate location, e.g.:
  • C:\LDRA_FlexLM\
  • ~/ldra_flexlm/

3. Run:

  • (Windows) Get_licenseinfo.bat
  • (Linux) Get_licenseinfo.sh 

This generates a .info file containing your machine information.

An example of a .info file:

Additional information
Network license

If you are requesting a Networked license, a license that other machines can use by connecting to the license server running on this machine, then a suitable IP range needs to be provided. 

For example, 192.168.1.* , this IP range should cover the potential users of this license. Multiple IP ranges can be provided.


Standalone license

No IP ranges are needed. Only the .info file needs to be submitted.
