The orange LED (marked F) :

It is expected to turn on when the BlueBox is waiting for communication with
the PC and to turn off once the communication is established.

It will be blinking during a firmware upgrade with the red LED marking the
progression through the upgrade steps.
Other than the reasons above, a blinking orange LED indicates an error deep in
the firmware Ethernet and USB stacks.
